Antirrhinum Sweet Duet F1

Up the ante with this new Antirrhinum! ‘Sweet Duet’ boasts improved doubleness and flower size compared to other varieties along with intense fragrance. All of this is delivered in a delicious palette of colours – from fruity salmon and peach to deep red and apple blossom pink. Plants are vigorous, forming a strong, branching base before flowering, making them especially suitable for autumn sowing as well as spring. Perfect for use at the front of borders, in patio containers where you can readily enjoy their scent, or as fragrant cut flowers for indoors.

Sowing
Sow Antirrhinum seeds indoors or under glass from January to March on the surface of a good quality seed compost and gently firm down. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 18-21C (64-70F) or seal inside a clear polythene bag until germination which takes 10 – 21 days. Keep the compost damp but not wet and do not exclude light.

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 7.5cm (3”) pots and grow Snapdragon plants on in cooler conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7 – 10 days before planting outdoors. Plant Snapdragons at a distance of 30cm (12”) apart on any light, well drained soil in full sun.
