About Chepstow

An independent garden centre with a focus on plants and the local community

Chepstow Garden Centre first opened its doors in 2002. A small, independently run garden centre with a focus on plants and keeping everything as local as possible, the garden centre grew in popularity.

In 2004, the landscaped gardens were added as a quiet oasis for visitors to enjoy. It was built to inspire gardeners of all levels, highlighting plants for different seasons and areas. It also allowed customers at the café to sit outside and enjoy the view. 2004 also saw concessions added to the site, in the form of an aquatics centre (who are still with us) and the entrance extension.

The garden centre continued to grow and in 2006 we opened Newhall Farm Shop. The Farm Shop was to continue our focus on keeping everything as local as possible, supplying wonderful, fresh and most importantly local produce to our community. We also opened our Farm Shop with a master butcher onsite, who are still with us today!

After the Farm Shop opened, the Garden Centre customer base grew again, so in 2008 we extended the garden centre and the car park to allow for our ever-increasing popularity.

In 2010 we created our restaurant extension overlooking the beautiful landscaped gardens. This was required as our home-made food was more and more in demand, and we could not fit in all our lovely customers!

Chepstow Garden Centre has continued to go from strength to strength. This is due to our philosophy of excellent customer service and keeping everything as local as possible. We have continued to mature, with larger display areas, a larger car park and new events, such as our grotto.

Looking to the future, we will continue to invest in ways to improve our services, what we offer, where we source it from and of course maintaining our high standards of customer service.
