Zinnia Dahlia Flowered Mixed

There are few annuals which can match the exuberance of these Zinnia ‘Dahlia Flowered Mixed’. Dazzlingly bright double flowers, up to 10-12cm across, are densely packed with petals forming stiff pompom blooms. This vibrant mix comes in a jumble of candy colours from warm reds, yellows and corals to cooler pinks, lilacs and purples. The stiff petals and long, robust stems of Zinnia ‘Dahlia Flowered Mixed’ means that each bloom lasts a long time in the garden as well as in a vase. Zinnias are absolutely brilliant for cutting and the more you harvest the more flowers you’ll get. This tall variety is perfect for the middle/back of the border where it will continue to perform well into October. 

Sowing
Outdoor sowing (April/May)- choose a sunny position and sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil, 6mm (¼”) deep. Germination 10-21 days. Thin seedlings by degrees to a final spacing of 25-30cm (10-12″). Indoor sowing (April/May/Early June)- in pots or trays in a windowsill propagator or greenhouse at 15-20C (60-68F), 6mm (¼”) deep in finely sieved, moist compost. Transplant seedlings into trays 5cm (2″) apart and grow on prior to planting out.
