Salix Pendula

A small, steeply weeping, umbrella-like tree with heavily pendulous branches.

Large grey catkins with yellow anthers open before the mid-green ovate leaves in spring.

Suitable for damp places especially.

Position to highlight winter sun on stems.

Hard pruning in early spring is recommended of those grown for their winter stem colour.
