Linum Bright Eyes

Highlight your planting schemes with groups of stunning Linum ‘Bright Eyes’. Producing multiple blooms continuously for many months, you can expect a full and prolific display which brings interest to the garden all summer long. With neat and simple pure white blooms centred with a striking deep burgundy eye, this effortlessly beautiful variety is really quite the showpiece, bringing reliable interest to any planting scheme. Ideal for planting in high-impact groups in sunny borders or patio containers, pollinators such as bees and butterflies love them too. Height: 40-50cm (16-20”). Spread: 40cm (16”).

Sowing
Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25C (70-75F). Sowing Depth: Surface sow using peat/sand mix seed compost. Sowing Time: February-July. Germination usually takes 14-30 days.

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions before planting out 30cm (12″) apart in full sun. Prefers a well drained soil.

Can be sown directly outdoors where they are to flower once the soil has warmed. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sprinkle the seed thinly over the surface then rake lightly to ensure seed is covered. Alternatively, sow 1.5mm (1/16″) deep in drills, 30cm (12″) apart. Germination takes 14-21 days.
